What You'll Need
Whether we take your details over the phone, or you apply online, you will be asked for your personal details. You will be able to answer most of the questions with no problems. However, there are some details we need, which you might need to look up. Those details are listed below.
Date of Separation
You will need to supply the date of your separation. This
is the date of the first day that you actually lived separate and
apart from your spouse. If you subsequently obtained a Separation
Agreement, you will need to supply the date of this document as well.
Marriage Certificate
An original Marriage Certificate is required by the Court.
When completing the application, you will need to say whether you
still have it or not. If you had an Irish Marriage Certificate and
it was lost or destroyed, we will happily have a duplicate printed.
The General Regisrars Office charges €10 for this. Please note, this only applies to Irish marriages.
.
Addresses
There are a few addresses that you will need to have at
hand when you complete your application. They are:
- Your spouse's full current address
- The last address where you both resided before the separation
- The addresses where you lived immediately after separation
- The address where your spouse lived after the separation
